A Note on Email Subscriptions

I don't know how many of you receive my posts via email, but Blogger (Google) announced to blog owners today that email subscriptions are going away. Why? They don't bother making that clear. As in, at all.

Google absolutely hates blogging and bloggers. That's common knowledge. It makes you wonder why they hang on to Blogger instead of selling the platform to someone who actually gives a damn about both. In any case, the roll-out of the "new" Blogger last year removed some serious functionality, so this announcement really isn't out of line with their recent actions.

I remain here because I know Blogger, having had a number of blogs on it while I was getting my bearings back in the day. Also, WordPress seems very far from a friendly site to newbies; plus, to get anything decent from the platform, you need to shell out serious dough each month.

So. My apologies to you if my posts no longer reach you via email. If you know of a good email subscription plug-in, one that works with Blogger, and doesn't cost much (better yet, is free), please let me know at your convenience.
