Extra notes: We went and saw Mary Poppins Returns yesterday. It was our second viewing. God, what a great movie that is! What made yesterday's viewing even better were the five teenaged girls sitting next to us, who sang along with the music. They'd seen it enough to learn the words! That made us both very happy.
I posted the link to Obituary for a Bad Man yesterday on Reddit. So far it's been viewed more than a thousand times, setting a single-day pageview record for this blog. It has received more than seventy upvotes and fourteen or more comments, none of which I have read, and don't plan to read. It isn't out of any arrogance or squeamishness that I choose not to; it's more to do with the sensitive nature of the obituary itself, and my genuine pain and anger. I have no desire to trivialize any of it by engaging in shallow conversation with anyone. That's not why I posted it. I posted it so the world will finally know what a horrid man my father was. That's the only reason I posted it.
If you were one of those who read it, and are now reading this, allow me to thank you for your time and attention. It means a great deal to me. My email address can be found on my About Me page up top; if you really want to say something to me, you can write me a personal, private email. Please: no flamers. I'll just block you permanently, both on my email account and at Reddit, probably without having read more than the subject line and the first sentence, if even that.
The end of this year is just a couple days away. It couldn't come quick enough, in my opinion.
I hope you folks have a lovely and restful Sunday.
