Edited (est.): 6800

1. Failure: Primary edit number two of chapter 20
Notes: Getting much better quickly. I was afraid it wouldn't. That special align edit has been a godsend. It will definitely stay in my writing toolbox from now on!

2. Book Three Melody: Off till June 12

3. Watson: 400 new words
Notes: I'm slowly coming towards a grand part in the story.

4. Love Story: Off till June 23

5. Ant story: Off

6. Dread Pirate Roberts (2): Primary edit number two of chapter 5

7. T-Bag: Off

8. Fractalverse: Volume 5: New poem
Notes: The trick to writing free-verse poetry is to avoid getting in the mindset that "It's time to write poetry now!" There's nothing special to it. At least not for me.

Extra notes: The Internet is people. If the Internet is mostly garbage ... well, you make the connection.

I never stood a chance. Not even a remote one. The longer I go on in this career, the more I realize just how much of a blessing that is. It's difficult to see beyond my own conditioning and upbringing, and the relentless expectations of others, and mass marketing. It's very difficult silencing those separate dins. Many days I can't at all.

I began a new poetry volume today. I'll probably publish it early-to-mid 2019. If even two people buy it and read it, I'll be genuinely surprised. My work flies entirely under the masses' attention. They want blockbusters, be it on the silver screen or between the sheets or in their Twitter or Facebook feeds.

I don't stand a chance.

Still, I worked today. I worked yesterday. I worked the last fifteen years. And I'll get up tomorrow and I'll work again. Amen.

Such is this life. Amen.
