Extra notes: Due to a rough day Sunday, I've decided to crop my day today to make up for it a little. To that end three projects I planned to work on have dropped to the wayside. I'll get back to them tomorrow.

Depression is a bitch. It saps the will to do anything while amping up my rage. Basically I have no energy to do anything but thrash around meaninglessly. It's sad, and not just a little pathetic.

I've got groceries to get, and more birdseed. It's truly beautiful out today, with a light breeze, a cool temperature perfectly suited to a picnic, plenty of sunshine, finches at the feeder and blue jays hopping around in the cherry tree, which is shedding the last of its pink blooms, and the occasional puff of cloud passing overhead. Life is good.

The isolating nature of writing makes it problematic during periods of depression, and is a catalyzer for it. You pound and pound the keyboard, and the words come out, and you love them into fullness and beingness, only to realize, time and again, that it's only going to be you who will ever truly love them. That's hard.

But the blessings of the day are there, too. So for the balance of today I'm going to let them baby me and take care of me.
