Pierwalker Log: April 25, 2018

Writing start: 10:17 A.M.
Finish: 3:30 P.M.
Total new words (est.): 300
Edited (est.): 17,100

Tasks

1. Failure: Special read-through (Ch.5)
Notes: This is a great new tool. I believe I will regularly employ it, even if it means it will slow me considerably down. It isn't, after all, like there are lines of people out the door waiting to buy my books!

2. Book Three Melody: Off

3. Watson: Special read-through (Ch.6)
Notes: See my notes for Failure.

4. Slum: Primary edit number six.
Notes: Kye's got it now. I slept better last night, probably because unconsciously I knew I'd be finishing with these initial edits today.

5. Love Story: Off till Monday
Notes: I've needed the break. Slum and this have been making me a depressed mess.

6. Rumpel: Primary edit number one.
Notes: I'm pleased with this chapter.

7. Ant story: Read-through
Notes: Slow-going. That's okay.

8. Dread Pirate Roberts (2): 300 new words
Notes: Coming up on some action, which is always difficult to write.

Extra notes: I think I'll post the latest Slum nightmare tomorrow. I'll be sure to head it up with a warning: that it's graphic and disturbing.

That said, I personally believe it's one of my finer pieces of writing. I'm very proud of it. I don't pretend to be Stephen King by any stretch of the imagination, but that doesn't mean I can't aspire to those lofty heights, does it?

The world of Slum has been with me now for almost thirty-four years. It too deserves my best efforts.
