Pierwalker Log: Vernal Equinox

Writing start: 10:36 A.M.
Finish: 2:20 P.M.
Total new words (est.): 1400
Edited (est.): 1100

Tasks

1. Failure: Off till next Wednesday

2. Book Three Melody: Read-through
Notes: Becoming a worlds-saving hero is just beginning for Melody.

3. Watson: Off till Saturday

4. Slum: Off

5. T-Bag: 500 new words
Notes: Change is difficult, but possible. Even for someone like Theodore Bagwell.

6. Love Story: 400 new words
Notes: A difficult section for me to write.

7. Rumpel: 500 new words
Notes: It's always nice when stories reveal themselves to me as I write them.

8. Ant story: Off till Angel: Book Two is launched. Probably sometime in early April.

Extra notes: A small but essentially important paragraph added to Angel BII's manuscript today. That's the value of writing and editing as I do. It allows for such changes. Moreover, it easily forgives such changes, where many other writing/editing methods do not.

Since joining Reddit, The Pier to Forever's pageviews have jumped. I'm very grateful for that. For those who read my Pierwalker Log, you can find my profile (my "subreddit") here.

I'm fully aware of my blatant hypocrisy in joining Reddit--a social media website. I'm fully aware of my blanket condemnation of them. In response, I can say this: While I'm at least partially wrong about social media (at least Reddit), I know my harsh judgments against them are probably, in terms of percentages, still quite correct. They are addicting, moronic, corrosive, and damaging, especially on a community level. They are not about fostering community or connection, but advancing a rancid political agenda (Facebook and Twitter, anyone?) while enriching a small number of superwealthy sociopathic oligarchs. In those judgments I hold fast.

My efforts with this blog, and my Reddit profile, and my Linkin Profile, as well as all my published works, is one and the same: to foster true community, connection, friendship, and love among a small number of like-minded individuals. I write because I have had damned little of all those beautiful things in my life, and I'm determined to fight like hell for them in the best way I know how, and in the way I feel most blessed by God to fight.
