Writing start: 10:07 AM.
Finish: 3:00 PM.
Total new words: 1300
Edited (est.): 4900
1. Book Two of Angel: Off until February 24
2. Failure: Read-through
Notes: What's coming next in this chapter should be interesting to write. It seems that this sidestory will be longer than others. I can easily see 30 chapters.
3. Book Three Melody: Read-through
Note: Chapter will likely be in the 6K range. Important to get the details and connections right.
4. Watson: Off
5. Book Two Cheapery St.: Off
6. Dread Pirate Roberts (2): 500 new words
Notes: Slowly but surely. There is no hurry, I must remind myself. Why? How many fan mails have I ever received concerning any of my work, this one included? That's why.
7. Slum: 400 new words
Notes: Entering the realm of the horrific. It's disturbingly easy to remember, and to write.
8. T-Bag (new fan-fiction from Prison Break): 400 new words
Notes: This promises to be both great fun to write, and very satisfying. Theodore Bagwell's story deserves to be told. I've tentatively titled it: The Candle In the Window.
Extra note: Going to see Black Panther tomorrow. Can't wait. The Resistance is alive and well. It shows in courageous films like this one. In whatever tiny, tiny way I can, I want my work to contribute to our efforts and to embolden and encourage people too.
There really is evil in the world, and it really must be opposed at every turn. There is such a thing as making moral war; I am convinced these days prove that assertion without question. Leading the charge must be artists of all stripes. Our duty is simple: to speak our truths without dilution, hesitation, equivocation, obfuscation, or fear.
